Rev. John R. Mabry, PhD, is ChI core faculty, teacher of World Religions and Interfaith Theology, and Director of the Spiritual Direction program. He holds a masters degree in Creation Spirituality and a doctorate in World Religions. He writes extensively and has authored or edited over a dozen books. He has served as editor of Creation Spirituality magazine, and of PRESENCE: An International Journal of Spiritual Direction. He is co-pastor of Grace North Church in Berkeley, a Congregational Catholic community, where The Chaplaincy Institute is based. In addition, he is director of education for the American Catholic Church. He sings for two Bay Area progressive rock bands: Metaphor, www.metaphor.org, and Mind Furniture, www.mindfurniture.com.
