I have long had a personal calling to provide spiritual care and support for those experiencing loss or facing a life-threatening illness. While working as the Transitions program coordinator at a local hospice, I was drawn to interfaith studies as a means to gain a better understanding of diversity in spirituality. Yet I have gained so much more.
My studies at the Chaplaincy Institute (ChI), building upon my Masters Degree in Creation Spirituality, have woven a new fabric of personal and spiritual integration. In it is reflected the joy I have found through my experience of various faith traditions. Through ordination as an interfaith minister and completing classes towards my certificate in spiritual direction, I have deepened my commitment to the charge of ministry. My ministerial calling focuses on creating a heart-bound container that is both caring and grounded to support those facing loss, life-threatening illness or grief through group facilitation, working with clients one-on-one (including spiritual direction), and providing education.
