Shirley Strong is Dean of Students and Director of Diversity at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Prior to her work at CIIS, Shirley directed a national initiative started by the Levi Strauss Foundation that developed and supported multi-racial coalitions and partnerships engaged in antiracist, community building work. Shirley declares herself fortunate that her career enables her to bring together education, activism and spirituality in the service of Beloved Community.
