I have been called to ministry from a young age. In 1980 I contemplated ordination as a Buddhist nun twice, but both times realized that container was too tight. Still, I resolved to live life as closely as possible to the Bodhisattva vow, the desire to help all sentient beings. In 2006 my own teacher Ven. Dhubthob Rinpoche gave me his blessing to expand my path into as many areas as I possibly could, and to rest in the faith that all would benefit by my efforts. Two years later, in 2008, thanks to Gina Rose Halpern and CHI, I realized that the role of Interfaith Minister was perfect for me.
I vision my ministry as serving underserved humans and animals with the ultimate goal of helping heal our planet. My deep passion is Animal Ministry. I pray that my ministry will unfold in ways that help people realize and value the role animals have in revealing the constant thread of Sacred Presence in our lives, and so strengthen the interconnectedness we all share.
