Rev. Sharon Mooney

Inverness, CA

Ordination is the doorway through which Sharon Mooney will pass after a 35 year spiritual quest that brought her and her family west from Chicago to rural Marin County. Her work has always had at its heart, human communication, so this is a natural evolution into work that provides spiritual companionship to others in their conversation with their spiritual selves.

Sharon is accompanied today by her immediate family of fourteen children and grandchildren, close and extended family, spiritual companions, friends; and the memory of significant people who died, who have helped shape her into who she is today.

Sharon found a home in Interfaith Ministry because she has had, along with her spiritual quest, a commitment to diversity. As Rev. Gerstein says, "Each spiritual tradition offers vital life teachings and interweaves the most important messages of compassion, love, tolerance, generosity, faith, honor and joy. To honor, explore and recognize the wonder and beaity of each spiritual tradition is to practice the deepest and most profound spirituality.
