All my life I have been a seeker, not of the golden snitch, but of the Divine.
The first book I ever read was MY BIBLE BOOK, one of those little Golden Books from the '40s and '50s. Family lore has it that when I could not remember a word, I would say: "I can't say that. It's too holy!" So creative…. makes me smile.
My path to this threshold of ordination has wound its way through many spiritual traditions. While I remain an Episcopalian, I am interfaith at heart and gladly make that declaration today. I would so love peace and respect among the world's religions and spiritual traditions. Let it begin again, here with me, today.
My gratitude goes out to all the faculty and students of The Chaplaincy Institute, to Angeles Arrien, David Whyte, Brant Secunda, the members of Christ Church, Alameda, and to my friends and family. Thank you for loving me and teaching me.
May peace, love, compassion and respect bless the spaces between us all.
