Rev. Kerry Halligan

Seattle, WA

I work as a hospice chaplain, have a Masters degree in Spirituality from Naropa/UCS, and am a certified thanatologist.    I have practiced meditation and dream work for many years.

Cultivating an interfaith spirituality has been transformative and true joy.  No one I meet is a stranger.  I welcome them as family, each on their own spiritual journey.  I know there’s only One Mountain, with many paths.  God walks all of them.

I am deeply grateful to my partner Nancy.  Without her support, my ordination would still be just a daydream.    I cherish our three adult children, Heather, Michael and Jennifer, each a joy and a blessing.

I honor and thank my mother, Berniece Falling Leaves, who taught me a great deal about ceremony, ritual, and the workings of Spirit.

My other spiritual influences and teachers are many and varied.  I thank them all.  I am especially grateful for my teachers and friends at the Chaplaincy Institute.  You are indeed catalysts for change and reasons to hope.
