Portland, Oregon has been my lifelong home. For the past three years I have lived in Berkeley, with Katie my partner of over 35 years, to finish my Master of Divinity degree at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, and complete the Chaplaincy Institute requirements to serve as an Interfaith minister. I have a Master of Science in Physical Therapy and work as a geriatric physical therapist. I have been a hospice volunteer, and completed the foundational classes in the Anam Cara program through the Sacred Art of Living Center in Bend, OR. Two years ago I finished an internship in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and will spend another year in Berkeley working on a CPE residency at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. My goal is to be a hospice chaplain. My journey has been blessed with my levelheaded Katie, support from wonderful family who live in the Bay Area, an inspirational spiritual director, knowledgeable faculty, buoyant friends and two rescue kitties that keep me down to earth.
